Beware of WhatsApp Recruitment Scams

We’ve been made aware that scammers are impersonating Azumo to deceive job seekers.

March 17, 2025

What’s happening?

These scammers are reaching out to individuals via WhatsApp, falsely claiming to be recruiters from Azumo. They may use fake names (such as Jiang Yuxi) and pretend to offer job opportunities with a WhatsApp number. These messages are fraudulent—they are not from us.

While they’re using our name, they have no access to our data or systems and are not representatives of Azumo LLC.

Azumo will never contact you for the first time via WhatsApp. If we’re reaching out about a job opportunity, it will be through email or a direct call.

How to protect yourself

  1. Verify the source – If you’re actively engaged in a hiring process with Azumo and receive a suspicious message, refer to the contact details in your official communications. If you’re not in an active process with us, be cautious: Azumo does not conduct outreach via WhatsApp.
  2. Communicate through official channels - And everyone invited to interview at Azumo is enrolled into our Applicant Tracking System where we will interact with you directly via email and video conference calls.
  3. Do not share personal information – We will never ask for sensitive details over WhatsApp, especially before speaking with you through official channels.
  4. Report and block – If you receive one of these scam messages, block the sender and report the number directly through WhatsApp.

At Azumo, we take integrity seriously. If you’re ever unsure about a message claiming to be from us, please reach out. We’re here to help.
