Nearshore .NET and Azure modernization

Modernize your .NET applications without a rewrite

Your application still runs the business. It also costs more to maintain every year, and the people who understand it are getting harder to find. We add senior nearshore engineers to your team to modernize it in place, in your time zone, on your repositories.

The problem

The system works.
Maintaining it is the problem.

Most legacy applications are not failing. They are just expensive, and they are getting harder to change.

The logic is undocumented, so a small update can break something three modules away. Maintenance takes a growing share of the budget. The engineers who understand the stack are retiring or moving on, and hiring for an older stack takes months. If a previous modernization attempt stalled halfway, you are now maintaining two systems instead of one.

Meanwhile the pressure to add AI, move to the cloud, or integrate a new platform keeps building. None of that is possible until the foundation can carry it.

What we do

Modernization that ships, in stages you approve

We assess what you have, agree the sequence, and modernize in increments your team can review and release. No big-bang rewrite. No handover to a black box.

search Assess

A full review of your stack, goals and constraints before any code is written. Led by our VP of Engineering, CTO and senior leads.

build Modernize

Migration to ASP.NET Core, re-architecture, cloud migration and data platform work. Delivered in sprints, on your repositories.

monitoring Operate

Ongoing maintenance, monitoring and support, with a daily automated code audit covering security, cost and architecture.

The approach

Five paths. We recommend the least disruptive one that solves your problem.

Modernization is not one decision. Most applications need different approaches for different modules, and the right answer is usually the least disruptive one that removes the constraint.

cloud_upload Rehost

Move to Azure with minimal code change

The hardware or hosting contract is the constraint, not the code

layers Replatform

Move to a modern runtime, containers, managed services

Deployment and scaling are the bottleneck

code Refactor

Improve the code without changing behaviour

The application is sound, the codebase is slowing you down

account_tree Re-architect

Break the monolith into services and APIs

You need to release parts of the system independently

architecture Rebuild

Rewrite the component from scratch

The cost of maintaining it now exceeds the cost of replacing it

Sometimes the answer is a full rebuild. We delivered one in five weeks that had originally taken years. Sometimes a rehost is enough. The assessment tells you which one fits your system.

Why Azumo

What you get that a contractor will not give you

groups Engineers, not a marketplace

Our developers are not freelancers and we are not a marketplace. The same engineers stay with your project and take ownership of it.

manage_accounts Senior oversight is included

Every kickoff includes a VP of Engineering, CTO, project manager and customer success manager. You are not buying one developer and hoping.

shield Cover when priorities shift

Reserve engineers learn your application and sit in reserve, so a change of plan does not reset your delivery.

schedule Your time zone

Nearshore teams across Latin America, under four hours from US business hours. Daily standups, weekly reviews.

lock Your code, your repositories

Clean IP assignment, NDAs by default, SOC 2 certified.

payments Roughly 40% less than hiring in the US

How an engagement starts

Four steps to a modernization plan

01

Deep dive

We review your stack, goals and constraints with our VP of Engineering and CTO before anything is committed.

02

Plan

You get a sequenced modernization plan with the recommended path for each component.

03

Team

Engineers onboard in one to two weeks. You review and approve who joins.

04

Deliver

Sprints on your repositories, daily standups, weekly reviews, and a daily code audit.

Engagement models

Three ways to work with us

Staff augmentation

Add .NET and Azure engineers to your existing team. You direct the work.

Dedicated team

A self-managing team with a project manager, focused on one product or workstream.

Project delivery

We scope, build and deliver the modernization, and report against it weekly.

Questions

What teams ask before they start

How do you modernize without stopping our releases?
We work in increments. Each stage is reviewable and releasable on its own, so your team keeps shipping while the modernization proceeds underneath.
What does it cost?
Engagements are time and materials, billed weekly, with reporting you can audit. Nearshore delivery runs roughly 40% below the cost of hiring the same seniority in the US. The deep dive gives you a scoped estimate before you commit. If you would rather buy fixed scope than time, our published rates price work per Delivery Unit instead.
Do you sign an NDA?
Yes. NDAs are standard on every engagement. Your code stays in your repositories from day one, with clean IP assignment. We are SOC 2 certified.
Should we migrate to .NET Core?
Usually, but not always, and not always all at once. Cross platform support, performance and long term Microsoft support are the common reasons to move. The assessment tells you which components justify it now and which can wait.
What happens if the engineer we get is not right?
We replace them, and we keep reserve engineers who already know your application so the change does not cost you delivery time.
How is this different from hiring a contractor?
Our developers are not freelancers and we are not a marketplace. You get an engineer plus the management layer around them: a VP of Engineering, CTO, project manager and customer success manager on every engagement.
How fast can you start?
Engineers typically onboard in one to two weeks after the deep dive.
